


Andy began coaching in Colorado in 1989. He started with MACS in 1994 as the Head Age Group Coach and began as the Head Coach in 1995. Andy is a certified level 4 coach by the American Swimming Coaches Association. He graduated from the University of Missouri where he received his degree in Secondary Education. Andy was a scholarship athlete for his four years at Missouri. During his coaching career, Andy has coached Colorado Age Group State Champions, Western Zone Champions, Junior and Senior National finalists, a United States National Junior Team member, and Olympic Trial qualifiers. He has also coached many state record holders, as well as two National champions and one National record holder. He was chosen by his peers as Colorado Head Coach of the Year in 2002. Andy has been actively involved as a volunteer on Colorado Swimming Board of Directors for the past 15 years. He currently serves as Colorado’s coaches’ representative. He is also the president of the Suburban Swim League.
Andy is responsible for the overall direction of the MACS program, as well as personally working with the Sectional and Senior groups.
