MACS: Colorado’s Top Mid-Sized Swim Team
Mission Aurora Colorado Swimming-MACS, headquartered in Aurora,
Colorado, at Parker Road and Quincy, is one of the top swim teams
in the state of Colorado. Founded in 1977, the team has a
long history of providing swimmers with access to a premier swim
program. During our more than 30 years of serving Aurora and
surrounding communities, MACS swimmers have excelled at a wide
range of swimming events--from small, local events to the U.S.
Olympic Trials, and MACS consistently finishes among the top five
teams in the state championships. When a young person becomes
a member of MACS, he or she learns the value of sportsmanship and
teamwork. MACS swimmers learn the physical, emotional, and
intellectual skills that will last a lifetime.
The USA Swimming Club Excellence Program has designated MACS as a
Silver Medal Club. This program identifies and recognizes USA
clubs for their commitment to performance excellence, successful
club administration, and for their support of USA swimming.
MACS is one of only four teams in Colorado to receive this
award.

individual goal setting, and the physical and mental development of
all of our swimmers
Team Philosophy
Swimmers are given every opportunity to achieve their goals within
the team framework, which ultimately aids them in developing and
mastering self-discipline, self-motivation, and perseverance.
The team philosophy is emcompassed in the words courage and
perseverance.
Courage
is the willingness to accept risk and endure failings.
Courage does not exist unless there is a situation that presents
opportunity for success. We encourage our athletes to embrace
these opportunities and not fear the outcome.
Perseverance
is the backbone of success in any endeavor in life. One
cannot succeed at the highest levels without enduring some
setbacks. These difficult times can create a lack of faith,
low self-esteem, and an obvious drop in enthusiasm.
Perseverance is the quality that transcends these difficult
times. It allows the individual to find the true strength of
their character.

Mission Aurora Colorado Swimming-MACS has a long history of
providing Denver area swimmers with access to a premier swim
program. Our team values the fact that swimming benefits the
whole child by helping them develop discipline, dedication to
goals, and the ability to cope with failure and success. MACS
coaches are certified by the American Swim Coaches Association,
which places them among the top 15% of swim coaches in the United
States.
MACS offers many practice groups within its team structure to meet
the needs of each team member. Whatever your goals are in
swimming--exercise, involvement in a sport, or a desire to be at
the highest level of the sport, MACS has a place for you.
